The loop ring gag, sometimes called a wilkie snaffle bit is a very popular bit for a little extra brakes. The action similar to a continental gag, putting pressure on the poll and raising the bit in the horses mouth to achieve additional control without resorting to a stronger mouthpiece like a gag. The loop ring applies action but to a milder degree. Would be recommended to prevent head tossing.
